2 US Troops Killed, 4 Wounded In Koran Backlash (VIDEO)

In the wake of the Koran burning incident at the US Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan, an Afghan soldier shot and killed 2 US troops and wounded 4 more at a US military outpost in the eastern Ningarhar province.

According to the International Security Assistance Force, the man was wearing an Afghan National Army uniform and had apparently joined protestors outside the outpost when he began shooting with an automatic weapon at US troops.  

In violent anti-US protests across Afghanistan, at least 13 protesters have been killed by police and several have been wounded in the past 3 days.

The NATO Commander, US General John Allen, ordered a full investigation and is making efforts to keep it as open as possible while cooperating with the Afghan government.

President Obama sent a letter to Afghan President Karzai formally apologizing for the incident at Bagram Air Base.
