Each graduating senior student taking the National College Entrance Examination (gao kao) in China is allotted a subsidy for amino acids. If a student is not feeling well, they may go to the infirmary and receive their amino acids.

Many students had been feeling ill because of weather changes. Instead of spending time in the infirmary, the school installed the IV drips inside of the classrooms.

This exam is a crucial factor to whether or not a student may get accepted to college.
