The hacktivist group Anonymous is once again taking on websites used by pedophiles. Operation PedoChat currently targets over 80 domains, attacking them by hijacking sites, defacing them, and gathering information on their users.

In October 2011, a similar attack, called Operation Darknet, successfully attacked 40 such websites, exposing 1500+ alleged pedophiles.

Operation PedoChat is a larger-scale effort, the details of which have been translated into French, German, and Greek so far.  Anonymous factions across the globe are taking part, and a video posted by the group urges the public to participate as well.
