Kohl's to hire more than 50,000

Kohl's Corp., one of the largest US department store chains,  announced plans to hire 52,700 seasonal workers at its stores, distribution centers and credit operations for this year's holiday shopping season.

The plan is a 10% increase from last year's seasonal hires. Kohl's, which has 1,146 stores, will hire about 41 seasonal workers per store.

Kohl's plans to fill all seasonal openings by mid-November.
